Well it's been a couple of days since my last post.
Saturday came and went with no phone call. The first thing everyone tells me
without fail, "Oh they probably got in trouble". I am choosing to imagine they
just had a full day, and living in the secret hope and denial they will reward them
with a mid week surprise home call!! It gets you through...
Today's major achievement: I hung a picture! Which included the use of a tape
measure and a level... Something I never in my life saw my self doing when
I married a carpenter...
Long gone where the days of me being handy! HAR, now
as a sailors wife I see I will be carpenter, plumber, electrician and probably
decorator. Three of which I have already dabbled in, in just in the first 4 weeks.
Matthew would never believe I actually could use a level... If only he could
see me now. So far away from the girl that hung up her Christmas tinsel using
9in carpenter nails right in to our freshly painted RENTED living room.
The children have had a restless day. I think they are missing their wrestling
partner. I must say playing "Daddy" is something I don't think I will ever get
used too. I will be glad when he is home and able to throw them around and
tire them out.
I also don't think I will be quick to tell him I learned to use a plunger while he was
away... Some achievements are just best kept quiet ;)
Well goodnight all

Sea Legs are Officially Established.
Okay we are drawing near to the end of our first month as an official military family.
I like to think I have definitely earned my M.W badge and am finally on the road to having my sea legs... (Yes you can expect atleast a few more blogs with sailing terms...). I have learned to speak in acronyms that make people look at me cross eyed which apparently is a good sign i'm on my way to knowing the things I need to know. I have also practised the art of asking Matt's permission/oppinion in my head and then making up my own idea of a response.
First month summary:
Number of phone calls: 3
Number of letters received: 14
Numbers of letters sent: Aprox 20...
Number of tantrums: Who me or the kids? ;)
Number of worn out Grammy's: 1
Number of worm scares piggie gave me: 1
Number of unreliable pelvis's: 1
This is enough to sum up but not complete our first 4 weeks lol.
So far we seem to be staying a float. It's been a little stormy but there is sunshine on the horizon. Daddy only has 33 days to go. Baby only has 10.3 weeks to cook and Gracie knows almost all of her colors!
I am feeling confident and excited and I maintain a strong sense of faith we are exactly where we need to be.
Better get back to the crew before they revolt!
